During 2008 St Peter’s will be part of this national initiative offering churches a framework for mission and outreach. A range of opportunities has been identified for churches to connect with their local communities in special ways throughout the year. All our partner churches in Churches Together in the Westbury Area (CTWA) are participating.

Events that have taken place so far incude:

• Noughts to Sixes, a parenting course for parents of young children
• Chorus for Creation community choir performance in March
• A-cross Henleaze involving school children and local residents
• Community clearance and tidy-up project over the May Bank Holiday.
• St Peter's Henleaze Community Fair in June
• A gardening event, as part of a series of events across CTWA in the first days of July.

• Our Key Group programme will be ongoing and looking forward to welcoming newcomers

• Some special events are being planned for celebrating Christmas in December

Hope 08 is about fitting what churches already plan to be doing into a wider ecumenical and national Christian context, with support and ideas being added as churches work together.
