Mothers' Union

The purpose of the Mothers’ Union is: “Christian Care for Families”.

The Mothers’ Union branch at St Peter's has approximately 40 members and we meet in our Church Hall on the second Tuesday of each month (except August). Meetings start at 2 pm and finish around 3.30 pm.

Our full programme for the year ahead is presented in January. The programme for 2017 can be found here

We also meet for a monthly Communion Service in the Lady Chapel at 10.30 am on the Thursday following our Tuesday meeting, when prayer sustains and strengthens us. See the diary for dates.

Our branch is one of eight within the Mothers' Union of the Bristol West Deanery and we mark special occasions together throughout the year, visiting each other’s church for a service and sharing food and fellowship.

We are committed to giving our time and talent to help family life in our church and the local community and we support many local organisations: Friends for Parents at the Children’s Hospital, Hartcliffe Mothers, Cooking with Karen at Swindon, Sisters of the Church, Asylum Seekers and Refugees, The Shoebox Project, and Cathedral Welcoming.

Visitors are always welcome at our meetings and events.
