Henleaze and Westbury Park Youth Project

Please pray with thanksgiving...

...that 38 young people attended the first of our regular ‘3rd Saturday of the Month’ YESSS! events for those in School Years 6-9
...that plenty of adult helpers were able to support this event
...that the young people engaged in the activities with verve and enthusiasm
...that young people aged 14 –17 are thoroughly appreciating the facilities and opportunities offered  them at the David Lloyd Leisure Centre.

Please pray for God’s blessing and guidance...

...for the Henleaze and Westbury Park Youth Project Steering Group currently preparing the Constitution and other paperwork to submit an application for Charitable Status to the Charity Commission.
...for the next ‘YESSS!’ events on 15th May, 19th June and 17th July

‘A Hall for All’ – Hall Development Project

Please pray with thanksgiving for the way in which...
...£57,000 has now been pledged

...people are responding positively to fund raising opportunities by e.g. booking places for the Bow Tie Dinner, supporting Cathy Pearce’s cake sale initiative on Sunday mornings and Mavis Brocklehurst’s ironing offer.

 Please pray...
...for all Hall users, remembering especially our regulars: Young Seekers and The Club; Mothers Union, Cynthia Dumbleton, Ed Barton and helpers who run the Toddler Groups; the Busy Bees Pre-School; Dancing with Joyce Harper; Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides; ; Keep Fit; Ladies Guild; Henleaze Ladies Choir; Men at St Peter’s; Badminton Club; Table Tennis Club; Scottish Dancers; Town’s Women’s Guild; Retired Engineers; Southmead Hospital Orchestra; Football Tots; Yoga Exercise Class; St Peter’s Handbell Ringers
..that the efforts of John Purkiss, a fund raiser engaged to assist with our grant finding needs, might be effective in enabling our mission to develop.
...that people be inspired to make time and give attention to planning and preparing a sustained programme of fund raising events and activities that will enable ‘A Hall for All’ reach a fruitful conclusion including the forthcoming Henleaze Community Fair on 28th June and Golden Hill Sports Club ‘Party in the Park’ on 11th September
...for God’s hand to guide the development of the project in the coming months, praying especially for members of the Hall Development Team: Ray Haddow, Peter Watts, Elisabeth Perry, Ian Perry, Peter Dyer, Mark Pilgrim.

 Christian Life Development Initiatives

Please pray with thanksgiving for the way in which...
...so many people give of themselves, sharing in God’s mission all around us through service in the community, at work, and through activities around the site—the church and the hall.

Please pray...
...that our Sermon Series on ‘Reading the Bible’ will enable us to be more alive and alert to God speaking to us today and deepen our faith  and commitment to follow Christ as God’s Living Word
...for those going to see the Passion Play in Oberammergau in May, that it might enrich their faith
...for the PCC as they seek to create a structure and pattern for St Peter’s Committee and Working Group meetings that will stimulate and sustain growth
...for our PCC members: Ian Bailey, Peter Dyer, Mary Goronwy, Ray Haddow, Ali Heming, Sandy Hollinghurst, Vicki Kindred, Barbara Lewis, Ian Love, Cathy Pearce, Elisabeth Perry, Ian Perry, Jackie Pinder, Mark Pilgrim, Malcolm Southgate, Margaret Smith, Brenda Sumner, Chris Taylor, Sarah Thomas, Sarah Thorne, Judy Winn, Ricky Winn, Caroline Yandell, Amelia Young, Wendy Young
...that we may discern how God wants all our groups to develop and grow in the months ahead
...for those participating in the Growing Leaders group as they continue to follow this year long course: Sue Fenna, David Fenna, Mary Goronwy, Sandy Hollinghurst, Kathy Kilgour, Mike Leddra, Elisabeth Perry, Ian Perry, and their co-leaders Sarah Thomas and Nick Williams
...for those who have sought to deepen their walk with God by following the Lent Group ‘Training vs Trying’ materials -that the material will continue to develop and enrich their relationship with God in future and that Groups wanting to continue to meet will find a pattern and resources to enable them to do so.
