Foundation is a contemplative, creative service. It is a diverse missional community made up of people from a wide variety of ages, backgrounds and parts of life. It is an open space where people can ask questions and discussion is encouraged. The service has a focus on silence, poetry and art and allows space for people to explore faith independently and in small groups. Music at Foundation varies from monastic-electronica to taize chants and contemporary worship songs. There is a donation bar with beer, wine and both hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks after the service.
Foundation puts on a range of events throughout the week in locations around Bristol including events exploring faith, arts and justice called the Friendly Forum; community meals, walks and cinema trips. For more information about the friendly forum click here.
Foundation hosts a large free-entry charity gigs called the Friendly Stage on a quarterly basis. For more information about upcoming Friendly Stage events go to the Friendly Forum website. You can also find more information about who we are and what we stand for on the Foundation website.
